The Hill of Tara is an Irish pub opened in Japan's old capital, Kyoto City, where many people from all over the world gather to interact and exchange cultures and spend a comfortable and enjoyable time.
The owner who started this bar, in love of Ireland, not only welcomes people from Kyoto, but all over Japan, and travelers from around the globe in hopes they can experience the best of Irish style and culture.
The hill of Tara began in hopes that the people who gather here can appreciate each others culture and learn from it to build a path and connect us all to the far away land of Ireland.
The legendary, authentic Irish cuisine is served using the best, most carefully selected and freshest ingredients so you can enjoy the refined flavors from across the ocean in the comfort of Kyoto.

Access

Take the No. 2 Exit from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station on the subway Tozai line.

From JR Kyoto station, take the subway Karasuma line and transfer to the subway Tozai line at Karasuma-Oike station. Get off at Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station.
It should take about 10 minutes from JR Kyoto station.
